Artist's Comments

I came up with the idea of placing the photographic paper not only on just one side of the pinhole camera but to see what would happen if i covered all sides to create an image that appeared on all sides. The result was an interesting distorted image that looked quite surreal. I decided to photograph the series at the British Museum as i thought it was an appropriate subject to help distort its strong architectural horizontal and vertical lines.

The process was quite tedious as i could only take one photograph at a time, but also had to estimate the exposure just by guessing how strong i thought the light was at that particular time. After shooting i then had to travel back to the darkroom and develop the print hoping the exposure was correct.

After experimenting with the cube shape net i then began to look at other shapes to see what kind of distortion they brought to an image. This project is still ongoing...

Very good pinhole :D And that idea about the paper on all the sides was really nice! I might have to steal that some time :>

Very cool idea, and excellently executed! It makes me think of a reality in a dice...
